First of, just want to thank you for participating in this edition of Infidel Interviews. Could you start off by giving a little information about you to the audience? Whatever you feel comfortable with, but name, age, and where you live would be pretty standard?
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share our music, we appreciate your hard work and the time and space you're giving to us.
We are an electronic music project under the name of Mak Others:
Mak - Singer
Deville - Music producer
Valerio - Drummer
How do you enjoy where you live? Is there a vibrant music community where you are? Would you say you find that your local scene influences your attitude and/or creativity?
Unfortunately the music scene in Italy isn't that enjoyable these times, what really influence our minds come straight out of ourselves between the pure will of making music and a strong attitude.
What do you see in the near, and far, future for your creative output?
We are looking forward to leave on a tour bus and spread our music in Europe.
Do you consider yourself to be part of a particular sound or scene? What is your thoughts on the nature of genres and styles, and do you have any particular ones which you find to your enjoyment more, listening and/or production-wise?
We don't consider ourselves part of a particular sound. Our music background goes 360, from metal to electronic to industrial to punk and even rap.
Would you say that your choice to pursue music has changed your life since you started? Would you say that creativity has evolved you spiritually, emotionally, or logically?
Yes, we are all 28 and mentally disturbed.
What would you say are your favorite themes and topics that inspire you to compose? What draws you to those themes?
Mostly rage on top of all that come from the evilness of people around us, paranoia, hate and dark stuff because the world is 90% those things and we are part of it and coz of our personal experiences.

When it comes to your musical self and your real world self, would you say that their is a separation? Do you find yourself getting into a character or mindset when you create, or do you find your music is a representation of your day to day self?
When we are on stage we feel like we can relieve ourselves fully mostly because the live show is the only moment when people stand and listen to you. But we can say that there's no separation at all, we live our music.
So much has been said, and it sometimes feel that every word combination has every been taken. As a lyricist myself I know the pain of how hard it can be to articulate something in a way that is both engaging to the audience and uniquely artist. How do you find inspiration for your lyrical poetry?
Inspiration also comes from who you are, what you think, how you live, the way you talk. You just have to be real and keep it that way as that's what people want to see the most, only in that way you can earn respect and support.
What would you say are your biggest influences when it comes to art and music? Are there any bands that you would say struck you with the chord that inspired you to peruse your current path of musical aspirations?
Deville: Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Korn, Skinny Puppy
Valerio: Tool, A Perfect Circle, Tesseract
Mak: Deftones, Nirvana, Prodigy, Alexisonfire
Are you musically self taught? Or have you had mentors along the way to help you develop?
Self taught.
When it comes to composing music, do you approach things with a clear vision in mind, or do you prefer to let songs feel themselves out? Do you have any particular techniques or tricks you use to keep yourself creative and consistent?
Deville is our composer, he usually develops his idea while he compose with logic pro. It can start from a single sound or a line vocal from Mak.
Playing live shows, recording new tracks, attempting to go live the life that gives you the experiences that inspires it all... it can be difficult to balance the time. Do you have any particular methods that you use to keep yourself focused or balanced in your direction?
We simply love doing what we do, playing live music or only composing it, make us feel like we got some super powers that we can use with passion. Plus you must have the attitude to pursue your dream.
For fans who have not seen you yet, when it comes to your live show, how would you describe yourself thematically and visually? Are you an energy and audience driven band in the live atmosphere? Or would you consider yourself to be more thematic or presentation oriented?
We like to call our music style ''Electro Riot'', we like to think about our live shows as a sort of protests where we'd like to open people eyes and make them think more and more, so everything is supported by strong sounds and physical energy as we move a lot on stage. Usually people love our shows so if you get the chance, if we ever come to America, you should definitely come to see us and join the riot.
When it comes to performing, what are your favorite sort of venues to play in, and what are your favorite areas to tour? If you could tour with any other band in the world who would it be and why? What are some of your favorite memories of touring?
We usually like big stages with big areas just to be comfy lol. It would be cool to get on a tour with the Prodigy or NIN coz of the music styles. We'll create some great memories soon.
Have you had any particular moment(s) that you would like to share, that you would consider to be a crowning achievement in your musical career so far, or moments that you would say truly continue to inspire you to pursue your artistic path?
People keep on telling us that we are fresh meat and that even if the music style isn't what they usually listen to they enjoy the performance and this is great for us as we want to bring people together. And every time we get off the stage, people tell us to go and move to Germany. Maybe we will!
What are some of the biggest challenges you have had to overcome in your musical career?
Probably a big challenge would be to make good choice, like leave a band who is slowing you down or they haven't got the same intention you have as a musician.
When it comes to fan and critic feedback, how much do you take it to heart, and how much do you feel it evolves, pushes, or holds your sound in place? Do you feel that the personal response and interaction in the live environment, and the subsequent positive press you've regarding both your live and recorded music has consciously encouraged you to do things a certain way?
We love to hear from the audience what they really think, can be good or bad it doesn't matter, as long as they comment. Sometimes it takes time to be appreciate but it doesn't change our process of music composition or live performances. We know what we are and where we wanna go so we just stick with our ideas.
Outside of Electronic music, what other genres could you see yourself composing music in? Or should I say, do you see yourself inspired by? Do you have any other musical projects that you are involved with, or do you have any other musicians or artists that you collaborate with in some capacity?
Deville would love to do some dark ambient or movie soundtracks, me and Valerio would like to play in a post grunge / grunge band but for now we are all focused on Mak Others project
What sort of new bands have come out in recent years that have caught your attention? Is there any bands out there you see yourself, or would like to, remix or collaborate with in the future?
We'd love to collaborate with NIN, Marilyn Manson, Noisia and too many more.
Outside of music, what are some of your favorite past times and emotional engagements?
We make music most of the time as it is our job even outside the Mak Others project, we also watch a lot of movies and tv series, we drink a lot.
Thank you so much for participating in this episode of Infidel Interview. Any parting words for your fans, or my audience?
