Biography

Jugem's Cloud is a Chicago-based industrial trio. Specializing in aggressive vocals, harsh synths, and pummeling drum beats, the group identifies as one of the genre's modern new heroes.

The early, rusted-over beginnings of Jugem's Cloud go back to the formative years of Mark Lewandowski. Experiencing Industrial music for the first time on Zoltar's The Industrial Zone on Q101, he was inspired by the electrical sounds and dark mysterious nature of the genre. His older brother Michael Lewandowski would then bring industrial CD's on a boombox, and they would listen on their scouting camping trips. The combination of a forest atmosphere, combined with aggressive and haunting industrial music inspired Mark Lewandowski to start writing his own electronic compositions. He acquired a Korg Electribe EA-1 and started experimenting with sounds. He decided to call his side-project Jugem's Cloud, based on an obscure item from Super Mario Brothers 3.

Years passed and Mark continued to experiment with more synthesizers and equipment. Michael, who had begun drumming, also worked with metallic and resonant items to create early forms of samples. Both members honed their skills and musical abilities in various bands, which provided the experience needed for what lie ahead.

Mark Lewandowski officially created Jugem's Cloud in the summer of 2010 as a professional endeavor. He worked for several years in his home studio putting together the core tracks for what would become the debut album, Nature Vs Humans. Eventally friend Rob Ludwin and brother Michael Lewandowski decided they wanted to be part of the project, and became involved. The two officially joined, and everyone contributed to the finishing of the album, which released in October 2014.

After the successful release of Nature Vs Humans, Jugem's Cloud began work on their sophomore effort, The Factory Bloc. So far, the album is proving to be a more aggressive and more refined approach to industrial music. It is slated for release in 2019.
